From a four-page site in 2017 to a full shop.

We built Launch's first website in 2017, rebuilt it as a full online shop in 2025, and have run its search, AI search, advertising and social media since November 2025.

Overview

Launch Technologies South Africa is the sole authorised South African distributor of Launch, ThinkCar and ThinkTool vehicle diagnostics, along with lifts and workshop equipment. We built its first website in 2017, rebuilt it as a full online shop in 2025, and have run its search, AI search, advertising and social media since November 2025.

The brief

In 2017 Launch needed a compact website with a product catalogue that search engines could find. By 2025 it needed a proper shop, a clear structure for its catalogue and its 106 existing blog posts, and more workshop buyers arriving from search.

What we did

  • 2017: a four-page website with a catalogue of up to 20 products, plus once-off search engine optimisation and submission.
  • 2025: a rebuild on WordPress with Avada and WooCommerce, with shop categories, About and refund pages, and payment gateway testing.
  • An information architecture and content plan, including a page-by-page audit of all 106 blog posts.
  • A monthly SEO and AI-search programme from November 2025, with local schema markup and rank tracking.
  • Google Business Profile category and description corrections.
  • Google Ads Performance Max asset groups for diagnostics, lifts and hoists, tyre and wheel, and brand and trust.
  • Facebook and Meta set-up, and the day-to-day running of the social accounts.
  • Buyer guides, including a wheel-alignment guide and a comparison of two-post and four-post lifts.
  • Server and cache tuning, and hosting.

Outcome

Rank tracking for Johannesburg (SE Ranking) records the change since the programme began:

  • Tracked keywords in Google’s top three rose from 4 of 12 (week to 10 October 2025) to 26 of 91, with 7 at number one (May–June 2026).
  • Organic sessions grew 33.3%, from 3,274 in March–April 2026 to 4,365 in May–June 2026.
  • In the week of 21–27 September 2026 the site had 100% presence in tracked AI Overviews, with a link in 75% and a mention in 30%.

Then and now

  • 2017: four-page site with a 20-product catalogue.
  • 2019–2020: forum, slider and shop-listing work.
  • 2025: full rebuild on Avada and WooCommerce.
  • November 2025 onward: SEO, AI search, advertising and social media.
