We built Hard Hat's website in 2016, with product photography and 74 product descriptions, and have looked after it ever since, including a full rebuild in 2023.

Overview
Hard Hat Equipment Hire rents out construction equipment. Its website was one of the first production sites we built, in 2016, and we have looked after it ever since, including a full rebuild in 2023.
The brief
The company needed a website that showed its whole hire range with proper product photography and descriptions, let customers ask for a quote, and listed its branches.
What we did
- 2016: a five-page WordPress website with home, branch and terms pages (May 2016), followed by store and request-for-quote pages (November 2016).
- Arranged six product photography sessions in November and December 2016, including the editing of the images.
- Researched and wrote 74 product descriptions.
- Hosting from February 2017.
- 2019–2024: updates including maps, Google Business information, the B-BBEE certificate and new branches.
- 2023: rebuilt the site on Avada, with a request-a-quote plugin.
- 2026: B-BBEE and Cape Town address updates.
Outcome
The site has been in use since 2016 and is still hosted and maintained by us, ten years on. Thirty-five photographs from the 2016 shoot remain in the site’s media library.
